Nico Rehwaldt has extensive work experience in the software development field. Nico started their career as a freelancer in web development from 2006 to 2011. Nico then joined the Hasso Plattner Institute as a Research Assistant in Model Driven Architectures from 2007 to 2011. During this time, they also worked as a Student Tutor in Modeling Tools and Methods from 2007 to 2009. In 2011, they started working at Camunda as a Working Student in Full Stack Java development, and later on, they became a Technical Consultant and Software Developer from 2012 to 2014. Nico then took on the role of Project Lead for bpmn.io from 2014 to present, overseeing the development of Camunda Modeler applications and libraries. Currently, they hold the position of Principal Software Engineer at Camunda since September 2017.
Nico Rehwaldt completed their Master of Science in IT Systems Engineering from Hasso Plattner Institute, University of Potsdam, from 2006 to 2012. Additionally, they pursued Computer Science at Blekinge Institute of Technology from 2010 to 2011.
