Shannon DiPalmo, MSW has a diverse work experience in various organizations. Starting in 2012, they worked as a Program Manager at the Massachusetts Immigrant & Refugee Advocacy Coalition for a brief period. In 2013, they became a Child Welfare Case Manager at the MA Department of Children and Families. Following this, Shannon joined Columbia University in the City of New York in 2014 as the Millennium Villages Health Sector Project Manager. In 2015, they transitioned to Ponaman Healthcare Consulting as a Senior Consultant until 2018. From 2018 onwards, Shannon worked at CAN Community Health, initially as the Director of Business Implementation, then as the Vice President of West Coast Operations, and currently as the Vice President of Community Engagement.
Shannon DiPalmo, MSW has a diverse educational background in the field of social work and nonprofit leadership. In 2014, they attended Columbia University - Columbia School of Social Work, where they earned a Master of Science in Social Work with a concentration in Social Enterprise Administration and a field of practice in International Social Welfare. Prior to that, Shannon obtained their Bachelor of Science (B.S.) in Social Work from Bridgewater State University in 2014, with a minor in Anthropology. During their undergraduate studies, they also participated in a Study Abroad program at James Cook University, focusing on Indigenous Rights within the field of Anthropology. Additionally, Shannon attended Providence College from 2010 to 2011, where they pursued studies in Social Work and Global Studies. Recently, in 2020, they completed a Nonprofit Executive Leadership Certificate from Arizona State University's ASU Lodestar Center for Philanthropy and Nonprofit Innovation.
