Richard Close

Richard Close has had a diverse career in the financial and healthcare industries. Richard started in 1994 as a Domestic Operations employee at Montgomery Asset Management. From there, they became an Associate Equity Analyst at Equitable Securities in 1996 and later served as Vice President at SunTrust Equitable Securities from 1998 to 2001. In 2001, they joined SunTrust Robinson Humphrey as an Equity Analyst before transitioning to Jefferies & Company as a Managing Director in 2003. Richard then worked at Avondale Partners as a Managing Director from 2011 to 2015. Currently, they hold the position of Managing Director of Digital and Tech-Enabled Health Equity Research at Canaccord Genuity Group Inc. since May 2015. Throughout their career, they also served as a Board Member at Tennessee Health Information and Management Systems Society (HIMSS) from 2009 to 2017.

Richard Close attended Rochester Institute of Technology from 1987 to 1991, where they obtained a Bachelor's of Science degree in Economics.
