Ricky Y.

Ricky Y. has a diverse work experience spanning from 2008 to the present. Ricky started their career at Sauder School of Business at UBC in 2012 as a Summer Research Assistant. Ricky then moved on to Oakwest Insurance Agencies, where they worked as a Level 2 Insurance Broker from 2008 to 2014. Following that, they joined Metrie as a Junior Accountant for a brief period from 2014 to 2014. Ricky then transitioned to WesternOne Inc. as a Junior Corporate Accountant and later became a Corporate Accountant from 2015 to 2016. Since 2016, Ricky has been working at Canaccord Genuity Group Inc., starting as a Financial Analyst and eventually progressing to the role of Senior Financial Analyst. Currently, they hold the position of Manager of Business Analysis and Management Reporting.

Ricky Y. pursued their bachelor's degree in Commerce with a specialization in Accounting from The University of British Columbia, from 2009 to 2013. Following their undergraduate studies, they enrolled in the Chartered Professional Accountants of Canada (CPA Canada) to enhance their knowledge in finance electives from 2013 to 2015. Subsequently, in 2016, Ricky Y. obtained the Chartered Professional Accountant certification from CPA Canada.
