Tim Maher

Tim Maher has a diverse work experience in the actuarial field. Tim started their career as a Trainee Actuary at IPSI in 2012, where they were the key actuarial contact for various clients and led the Actuarial Data Integrity function. In 2016, they joined Irish Life as an Actuary in the Group Actuarial department, where they were responsible for unit pricing, asset/liability modeling, investment strategy, and tax calculations. In 2018, Tim moved to Canada Life Reinsurance, where they held the roles of Actuarial Manager and later Senior Actuarial Manager - Operations. In these roles, they managed a team of actuaries and oversaw the swap portfolio, including onboarding, reporting, and analysis.

Tim Maher completed their Leaving Cert from St. Michaels College in 2007. During this period, they studied subjects such as Maths, Applied Maths, Physics, Biology, Accounting, English, Irish, and French. Subsequently, they pursued a degree in Engineering, specializing in Civil, from University College Dublin, from 2007 to 2011.
