Matthew Rait is an experienced music educator and musician with a career spanning since 2007. Currently serving as a Music Teacher at Canada Music Academy since 2014, Matthew has also worked as a Faculty Instructor in Community Music at Wilfrid Laurier University from 2017 to 2019, focusing on guitar instruction in various styles. Additional roles include Director at South Simcoe Arts Council and various teaching positions at York University and other institutions. Matthew holds a Doctor of Philosophy - PhD in Musicology, a Master of Arts in Music, and a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Music, all from York University.

We believe the learning experience is most effective when students are taught in a relaxed environment, supported by clear methods and goals, as well as plenty of pure musical enjoyment and fun! Many of our students have continued on to busy careers as musicians, and thousands of our students across Canada have taken home a valuable and wonderful musical experience, to be cherished and enjoyed throughout their lives.
