Katie McDonald

Katie McDonald currently serves as the Director of Portfolio Architecture at Canada Life, a position held since October 2023. Previously, Katie spent over 22 years at Investment Planning Counsel, advancing through roles including Director of Information Technology, Manager of Architecture & Infrastructure, Site Architect, Manager of Application and Architectural Development, Supervisor of E-Services, and Web Developer. In these positions, Katie demonstrated expertise in creating strategic roadmaps, setting technology direction, leading teams of architects and analysts, and overseeing the development and support of various internal applications and web initiatives. Education includes ongoing studies toward a Bachelor of Commerce degree with a major in Business Technology at Athabasca University.
