Chanh-Phong (Phong) Tran

Chanh-Phong (Phong) Tran has a diverse work experience in the healthcare industry. They recently joined CADTH in 2022 as a pCPA Health Economist. Prior to this, Phong worked as a Clinical Pharmacist at Hôpital Montfort starting in November 2021. They also have experience as a Community Pharmacist at Shoppers Drug Mart, where they started in April 2021. Before that, Phong worked as a Pharmacy Intern and Pharmacy Student at Shoppers Drug Mart between September 2020 and March 2021. Phong also gained valuable experience as a Governmental Affairs Intern at The Janssen Pharmaceutical Companies of Johnson & Johnson from February 2021 to July 2021. In 2019, Phong worked as an EAP Clinical Reviewer at the Ontario Ministry of Health. They started their career in the pharmacy industry as a Pharmacy Assistant at Rexall Pharmacy Group Ltd. from January 2012 to December 2017.

Chanh-Phong (Phong) Tran's education history is as follows:

Phong Tran completed their Honours Bachelor of Science (HBSc) degree in Biomedical Sciences, General at the University of Ottawa from 2011 to 2015.

Chanh-Phong (Phong) then pursued a Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) degree at the University of Waterloo from 2017 to 2020. During this time, they also obtained a Vaccine and Immunization Certification from the University of Waterloo in June 2018.

Phong is currently pursuing a Master's degree in Pharmacology at the Université de Montréal, starting in 2016 and expected to graduate in 2023.

Additionally, they obtained a Standard First Aid CPR/AED Level C certification from the Canadian Red Cross in August 2020.
