Pam Chater

Pam Chater is a seasoned senior manager currently leading Children, Youth & Family Programming at the Canadian Cancer Society since October 2025, overseeing programs across British Columbia and the East Coast. Prior to this role, Pam served as Centre Manager at Bettie Allard YMCA from April 2023 to October 2025 and held similar positions at Langara Family YMCA and YMCA of Greater Vancouver, including Manager of Healthy Child Development, Manager of YMCA Camp Elphinstone, and Camp Director, spanning from January 2009 to April 2023. Pam Chater holds a Bachelor’s degree in Tourism Management with a major in Recreation, Parks, Recreation, and Leisure Studies from Vancouver Island University, as well as a BA in Geography from Lakehead University.
