Fernanda Welzel Lourenco

Fernanda Welzel Lourenco has extensive work experience in the legal field. Fernanda is currently the General Counsel, Corporate Secretary, and Vice President of Business Development at Canadian Hospital Specialties Ltd since April 2021. Prior to that, they worked as a Legal Counsel at Field Trip Health from March 2021 to April 2021.

Before their current roles, Fernanda worked at Dynacare as a Legal Counsel from June 2020 to November 2020, and as a Paralegal from November 2011 to May 2020. Fernanda also served as a Legal Assistant at Elia Associates Professional Corporation, Barristers and Solicitors from October 2010 to October 2011.

In addition, Fernanda gained experience as an Intern at the Ontario Ministry of the Attorney General in April 2010, and as a Lawyer/Judges' Assistant at Tribunal de Justiça de São Paulo from September 1995 to August 2006. During their time at the Tribunal de Justiça de São Paulo, they practiced law in various courts and provided legal support in areas such as representing plaintiffs and defendants in court cases, performing legal research, and drafting decisions.

Fernanda Welzel Lourenco holds a Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from Centro Universitário FMU | FIAM-FAAM, completed in 1998. Fernanda also achieved a Master of Laws (LLM) degree in Law from the University of Toronto Faculty of Law, completed in 2019. Currently, Fernanda is pursuing an Executive MBA at the University of Toronto - Rotman School of Management, expected to be completed in 2023.
