Irmi Guneratne is a seasoned financial professional with diverse experience in finance and accounting roles across various companies. Currently serving as a Financial Officer at CIFAR since December 2022, Guneratne collaborates with the Director of Finance to ensure the accuracy and relevance of financial processes and oversees accounts payable. Previous positions include Financial Assistant at CIFAR, Accountant at W Toronto, and Finance Executive roles at M&C Aviation and Dart Global Logistics, where Guneratne was involved in financial reporting, budget preparation, cash flow management, and stakeholder liaison. Additionally, Guneratne began a career in education as a Primary School Teacher at Maris Stella College Negombo. Guneratne holds a Bachelor of Business Administration in Finance from the University of Colombo and pursued further education at the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Sri Lanka.
