Wanying Zhao

Wanying Zhao, PhD, is currently the Manager of Evaluation and Learning at CIFAR, a position held since July 2023. Previously, Wanying served as the Manager of Measurement, Evaluation, and Learning at the Ontario Trillium Foundation from April 2016 to July 2023, and as an Impact Measurement and Evaluation Analyst within the same organization. Additional experience includes roles as a Board Member and Consultant at LogicalOutcomes, a Graduate Student Researcher at The University of British Columbia, and a Living Lab Scientist at Vancouver Telus World of Science. Wanying's research expertise encompasses emotions, social norms, and infant development, along with conducting ethnographic studies in Fiji. Wanying holds a PhD in Psychology from The University of British Columbia, a B.Com from the University of Toronto, and has completed French language studies at CEGEP Jonquiere.
