Michael Winship

Michael Winship is an accomplished mining executive with extensive experience in various leadership roles across the mining industry. Currently serving as Past President and previously as President of the Canadian Institute of Mining, Metallurgy and Petroleum (CIM), Winship has a prominent role in advancing the interests of professionals within the Canadian minerals, metals, materials, and energy sectors. Winship's past positions include Interim President and CEO of Rubicon Minerals, CEO of Orvana Minerals Corp, and Chief Operating Officer of Quadra FNX Mining Ltd, among others. With a B. Eng in Mining Engineering from McGill University, Winship has demonstrated a strong commitment to the development and operation of mining projects across Canada and internationally.
