Anne Butler

Anne Butler currently serves as the Managing Director of Supervision at the Bank of Canada and holds the position of Director at the Canadian Internet Registration Authority since November 2021. Additionally, Anne Butler has been a Director on the board of the YMCA-YWCA of the National Capital Region since May 2017. Previously, Anne Butler was the Chief Legal Officer at Peoples Group and served as Chief External Relations and Legal Officer at Payments Canada, where responsibilities included leading teams focused on the future of payments and the supporting legal framework. A legal professional with extensive experience, Anne Butler has also held executive roles at Volunteer Ottawa, Empire Life, and the Community Foundation of Kingston and Area. Educational qualifications include an LL.B from Queen's University and an ICD.D from the Institute of Corporate Directors, complemented by a BA (Hons) from the University of Toronto.
