Morgane Desmau

Morgane Desmau is an accomplished scientist with extensive experience in synchrotron spectroscopy and environmental research. Currently serving as an Associate Scientist in BioXAS-Spectroscopy at Canadian Light Source Inc., responsibilities include user support, beamline optimization, and software development. Previous roles as a Postdoctoral Research Fellow at Yukon University and DESY involved managing industrial-academic research projects, collaborating with mining companies, mentoring students, and publishing multiple scientific papers. Morgane also has a strong academic background with a PhD in Earth and Environmental Sciences from Institut de Physique du Globe de Paris and has held teaching assistant positions at Université Paris Diderot. Research expertise encompasses the interaction of bacterial populations with nanoparticles, implementation of sustainable mining practices, and the application of advanced analytical techniques in environmental science.
