Dr. Katharine Smart

Dr. Katharine Smart has extensive work experience in the medical field. Dr. Katharine served as the President of the Canadian Medical Association until August 2022 and is currently the Past President. Prior to that, they worked as a Consultant Pediatrician for the Government of Yukon starting in 2018. Dr. Smart also held the position of Pediatric Emergency Medicine Physician at Alberta Children's Hospital from 2007 to 2018.

Dr. Katharine Smart obtained their Doctor of Medicine (MD) degree from The University of British Columbia, where they studied from 1997 to 2001. Prior to that, they completed their Bachelor of Arts (BA) degree in Political Science from The University of British Columbia, graduating between 1992 and 1996. In addition to their degrees, they also hold a certification as a National Health Fellow from McMaster University, although the specific year of obtaining the certification is not provided.
