Kristin Smith

Senior Director, Physician Health And Wellness at Canadian Medical Association

Kristin Smith has a diverse work experience in the field of communications and advocacy. Kristin began their career at Volunteer Canada in 1999, serving as the Director of Communications and Corporate Relations until 2004. Kristin then moved on to work at Katimavik as the Director of Communications and Fundraising from 2004 to 2006. Following this, Kristin joined the Canadian Medical Foundation as the Director of Communications and Programs, where they remained until 2013. In 2013, Kristin started working at the Canadian Medical Association, initially holding the position of Senior Advisor, Special Projects, Advocacy and Public Affairs until 2015. From 2015 onwards, they served as the Director, Patient and Public Engagement, and currently holds the role of Senior Director, Physician Health and Wellness.

Kristin Smith earned a Bachelor of Arts Honors degree in Psychology/Education from Trent University in the years 1988 to 1992. Kristin later pursued a Master of Education degree at Canisius University from 1994 to 1995.
