Renee de Gannes-Marshall's work experience includes various roles in different organizations. Renee began their career as an Indexer at the Sport Information Resource Centre in 2002. In 2004, they joined the Canadian Dental Association as an Information Specialist and stayed until 2009. From 2009 to 2012, they worked at the National Capital Commission as the Head of Library Services. In 2012, they moved to the Canadian Medical Association where they served as the Senior Program Manager for Clinical Products and Services until 2014. From 2014 to 2016, they worked as the Acting Director for Clinical Products and Services and later became the Director of Clinical Information.
Renee de Gannes-Marshall has a Bachelor of Arts degree in Honours History and French from Mount Allison University, which was obtained from 1994 to 1998. Renee then pursued a Master of Arts degree in History from Dalhousie University from 1998 to 1999. Later, from 2000 to 2002, they completed a Master of Library and Information Studies degree at Dalhousie University.
