Megan Bocking is an experienced leader in visitor experience and museum management, currently serving as the Head of Visitor Experience at the Canadian Museum of Nature since June 2022. Prior to this role, Megan worked as the Manager of Visitor Experience at the Bank of Canada Museum and held various positions at the Canadian Museum of Nature, including Project Leader and Acting Head of Programs. With a strong background in education, having taught part-time in the Applied Museum Studies Program at Algonquin College, Megan has successfully managed diverse teams, developed innovative visitor programs, and driven initiatives for service excellence. Megan's previous roles also include Program Manager at Bytown Museum, where responsibilities included program development and grant management, as well as early experience in public programs at the National Gallery of Canada and Mendel Art Gallery. Academically, Megan holds a Master’s Degree in Art Museum Gallery Education from Newcastle University and a Bachelor’s Degree in Fine Arts from the University of Saskatchewan.
