Mark Grubbs was appointed Vice-President Mechanical in April 2022 and is based in Homewood, Illinois.
Mark leads all activities related to CN’s locomotive and railcar maintenance operations with a focus on service reliability and safety.
Mark has more than 25 years of experience in the rail industry. He started his career as a Journeyman Carman and has progressively held more senior roles at class 1 railroads, most recently as Chief Mechanical Officer and Assistant Vice-President at BNSF Railway. Mark is known for his leadership in safety and developing and sustaining positive and cohesive relationships while driving productivity, efficiency, and safe work practices.
Mark holds an MBA from Texas Christian University and a Bachelor of Science degree in Organizational Leadership from Purdue University.
