David Bechtel

David Bechtel has extensive work experience as a geologist. David started their career with Canadian Natural Resources Limited (CNRL) in 1999 and worked as a geologist until 2007. From 2008 to 2014, they were a geologist at Alberta Geological Survey. In 2014, they rejoined CNRL and held various positions including Area Geologist, District Geologist, and Chief Geologist. David'smost recent role is Chief Geologist, which they have held since July 2023.

David Bechtel completed their Bachelor of Science (BSc) degree in Geology from the University of Alberta in 1991. David then pursued a Master of Science (M.Sc.) degree in Geology from the same university, which they completed in 1993.
