Michael Hill is a highly experienced neurologist specializing in stroke care, currently serving as Senior Medical Director for Stroke at Alberta Health Services and holding the same title within the Provincial Improvement Network. Michael also directs the Stroke Unit at Foothills Hospital and has been a Professor of Neurology at the University of Calgary since 2001. In addition to these roles, Michael serves as President of the Canadian Neurological Sciences Federation and previously held the position of Associate Dean for Clinical Trials at the University of Calgary. Academic achievements include an MSc in Clinical Epidemiology from the University of Calgary, FRCPC in Neurology from the University of Toronto, FRCPC in Internal Medicine from the University of Ottawa, an MD from the University of Ottawa, and a BSc in Biochemistry from McGill University.

We are a not-for-profit federation, managing six National Specialty Societies that deal with the management and prevention of neurologic conditions and diseases. The CNSF Societies own the Canadian Journal of Neurological Sciences (CJNS). A peer reviewed medical journal which is published and hosted through Cambridge Core. The CNSF hosts a Canadian Congress with four days of accredited scientific courses to assist our members, and others, with their Continuing Professional Development and Maintenance of Certification.
