Emily Alexander is a Community Health Coordinator for the Friendly Calls Program at the Canadian Red Cross since September 2023, focusing on enhancing mental health and social connections for older adults and individuals 18+. Emily also serves as a Patient Voice Advisor at the Canadian Medical Association and has been a Co-Chair of the Youth Council at the Mental Health Commission of Canada since 2017, participating in various committees aimed at improving youth mental health. Additionally, Emily coordinates the 2SLGBTQIA+ Warmline at Planned Parenthood NL Sexual Health Centre and previously worked in several research and advisory roles across multiple organizations, including the Health Standards Organization and the Cognitive Aging & Auditory Neuroscience Lab at Memorial University. Emily holds a Master of Arts in Psychology from the University of Toronto and a Bachelor of Science in Psychology (Honours) from Memorial University.
