Wee Shiong Tan

Wee Shiong Tan possesses extensive experience in the solar energy and semiconductor industries. Currently serving as Deputy General Manager for both the Module and Cell Business Units at Canadian Solar Inc. in Thailand, Wee Shiong Tan previously held leadership roles at REC, including Director of Project Lead for Fab Expansion and Director of Cell Manufacturing & Equipment Engineering. Additional experience includes the position of Principal Engineer at United Microelectronics Corporation (UMC). Wee Shiong Tan holds a Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering from Queensland University of Technology, attained between 1999 and 2001.
