Alejandro Pachon

Alejandro Pachon is a seasoned professional with extensive experience in research and evaluation. Currently serving as a Senior Research Officer at the Canadian Union of Public Employees since June 2017, Alejandro also holds the position of Evaluator at Employment and Social Development Canada, a role maintained since January 2013. Previous roles include Teaching Assistant and Research Fellow at Carleton University from January 2011 to April 2015, Union Organizer at Service Employees International Union, Local 2 from February 2010 to September 2010, and Research and Learning Design Assistant at Pearson Peacekeeping Center in late 2009. Alejandro began a career in research as a Junior Researcher at Citizenship and Immigration Canada in early 2009 and has held various research assistant roles in academic and political settings. Educational achievements include a Master of Arts in Public and International Affairs from the University of Ottawa, a Bachelor of Arts Honours in Political Science from the University of Alberta, and a Bachelor of Arts in Sociology from Universidad Nacional de Colombia.
