Mathias Seviiri

Mathias Seviiri, MD, MPH, PhD, serves as a Senior Research Officer at QIMR Berghofer Medical Research Institute since April 2019 and holds a Research Fellow (Honorary) position at The University of Queensland. Mathias is also a Senior Bioinformatician at Seonix Bio and an Associate Member Council member of the American Association for Cancer Research, where leadership in early career cancer research is emphasized. In addition, Mathias co-convenes the Queensland Epidemiology Group for the Australasian Epidemiological Association. With a Doctor of Philosophy in Statistical Genetics and a Master of Public Health, Mathias's academic background includes various diplomas and a Bachelor's degree in Medicine and Surgery, highlighting a solid foundation in medicine and public health. Prior roles include serving as a District Health Officer and Senior Medical Officer at Wakiso District Local Government and a Research Associate at Cancer Council Victoria.
