Meredith Sharpe currently serves as the Special Events Coordinator for Partnerships at the Canadian War Museum, a position held since January 2019 within the Corporate Affairs team. Previous experience includes an interim role as Senior Communications and Special Events Officer at the Canadian Museum of History, where responsibilities included promoting exhibitions and executing communications plans. Prior to this, Meredith worked as a Public Relations and Social Media Advisor at the Canada Council for the Arts, focusing on media relations and promoting arts and culture in Canada. Earlier roles include Producer and Associate Producer at CBC, Public Relations Manager and Senior Publicist at Just For Laughs, and Director of Communications at Centaur Theatre Company, where marketing and communications strategies were developed and managed. Meredith holds a degree in Theatre from Ryerson University, completed between 1994 and 1997.

The Canadian War Museum is Canada’s national museum of military history and one of the world’s most respected museums for the study and understanding of armed conflict. The Museum’s collections are among the finest military holdings in the world, including rare vehicles, artillery, uniforms, medals, personal memoirs and more than 13,000 works in the Beaverbrook Collection of War Art. In total, the collection comprises more than 3 million artifacts, specimens, works of art, written documents and sound and visual recordings. The Military History Research Centre houses the George Metcalf Archival Collection and the Hartland Molson Library. These extensive collections of primary and secondary research material document Canada’s rich military history.
