Neha Malik

Neha Malik serves as a Staff Attorney at Canal Alliance since June 2023, following a law clerk position in the Civil Rights Clinic at the University of California, Davis - School of Law from June 2021 to June 2023, where engagement included litigation on excessive force and jail conditions. As a LSFN Legal Fellow, Neha focuses on providing low/no-cost immigration legal services and was involved in criminal and immigration law at the Immigration Law Clinic, advising public defenders on the immigration consequences of criminal charges. Neha's legal experience is complemented by roles at the Immigrant Legal Resource Center, Center on Race, Poverty & the Environment, and California Partnership to End Domestic Violence, alongside academic contributions as a research assistant at UC Davis. Educational credentials include a Juris Doctor from UC Davis and a Bachelor of Arts in English Literature from Willamette University.
