Richard Cornell

Richard Cornell is an experienced IT Security Manager currently at Canal & River Trust since November 2020. Richard co-founded and served as Secretary of the BCS NeurodiverseIT Specialist Group from February 2022 to February 2023 and was the Chair of the West Midlands branch of the Chartered Institute of Information Security from May 2021 to February 2023. Prior roles include Digital End Point Assessor for Cyber Security at BCS, Information Security Manager at Altodigital and Halfords, and Information Security Manager and Technical Architect at RM. Richard's educational background includes a BSc in Geology from the University of Portsmouth, an MSc in Industrial Mineralogy from the University of Leicester, and a PGCE in Primary (ICT and Maths) from the University of Wolverhampton.
