Nedal Safwat

Nedal Safwat serves as the Chief Development Officer and President of Canatu Inc. since June 2025 and is also a Board Member at Gradientech AB, providing strategic guidance for North American market development. Previously, Nedal held the position of Vice President at Cepheid and QIAGEN, leading commercial operations and portfolio management in the molecular diagnostics sector. During a decade at bioMérieux, Nedal managed a comprehensive in vitro diagnostic product portfolio and directed global marketing efforts. Past roles include leadership in marketing and business development at ChromaCode, product management at Luminex Corporation, and technical sales consulting at Miltenyi Biotec. With a Ph.D. in Biochemistry from North Carolina State University and experience in international business through INSEAD, Nedal combines scientific expertise with strategic executive leadership.
