Andy Baird

Andy Baird is an experienced professional in the music and arts sector, currently serving as the Director of Artistic Planning & Development at Canberra Symphony Orchestra since January 2020. Previously, Andy held the position of Artistic Planning Manager at the same organization. In addition, Andy is a Peer Assessor for the Australia Council for the Arts, contributing to the arts community from June 2021 through December 2024. Prior roles include Artistic Operations Manager at Melbourne Chamber Orchestra and Casual Flautist at Adelaide Symphony Orchestra. Andy also managed the Adelaide Youth Orchestras from January 2014 to December 2016. Educationally, Andy completed a Bachelor of Music (Honours) in Classical Performance at the University of Adelaide and furthered studies at the Australian National Academy of Music between 2017 and 2018.
