Sruti Subramanian is a dedicated Research Assistant at the Cancer Institute (WIA), focusing on the effects of a repurposed FDA-approved drug on cervical cancer cells under the supervision of Dr. Sabitha Ramanathan. Prior experience includes a Research Intern role at Central University of Rajasthan, where Sruti developed a novel vaccine against a deadly disease using immunoinformatics, and another Research Intern position at AMITY University Gurgaon, investigating multidrug resistance in bacteria and fungi, specifically examining Mycobacterial lipids through lipid extraction and thin-layer chromatography. Sruti is currently pursuing a Bachelor of Technology in Biotechnology at NIIT University, expected to graduate in 2024.
