Carlos Garcia-Echeverria

Carlos Garcia-Echeverria, Ph.D., currently serves as a member of the Therapeutic Innovation Board at Cancer Research Horizons and previously contributed to Blueprint Medicines as a member of the Scientific Advisory Board. At EQRx, Carlos held the position of Chief of Rx Creation, focusing on research and early-stage development in collaboration with external partners to expedite the discovery of effective therapies at reduced costs. Carlos's extensive background at Sanofi includes roles such as Chief Operating Officer of Research and Global Head of Research Platforms, overseeing significant research initiatives and teams. Prior experience at Novartis involved leadership positions in oncology drug discovery, emphasizing the establishment of drug development strategies and coordination of medicinal chemistry optimization. Carlos earned a Ph.D. in Organic Chemistry from Universitat de Barcelona and holds a Master Certificate in Project Management from The George Washington University.
