Anna Nicholson has over a decade of experience within the field of scientific research and management, currently serving as the Scientific Collaborations Manager at Cancer Research UK since July 2011. In this role, Anna oversees external partnerships and promotes engagement among researchers across various disciplines. Previous positions at Cancer Research UK include Principal Scientific Associate, where responsibilities involved project management, scientific support, and lab operations, as well as Research Associate, focusing on intestinal epithelial stem cells in tumor development. Before joining Cancer Research UK, Anna was a PhD student at the University of Oxford, conducting research on stem cell biology in the human esophagus, and also worked as a Research Assistant in a phase 3 clinical trial team. Anna earned a Doctor of Philosophy in Clinical Oncology from the University of Oxford in July 2012.
