Charles Mitchell

Charles Mitchell has over two decades of experience in risk management, internal audit, and business continuity. Charles started their career at KPMG as a Manager, providing internal audit, corporate governance, and risk management advisory services to various clients. Charles then worked at BG Group as a Consultant Auditor and later as a Group Risk Manager. Currently, they are the Risk Management and Business Continuity Lead at Cancer Research UK, where they lead the charity's risk management and business continuity programmes. Charles has a proven track record of developing risk appetite strategies, upgrading risk reporting, and leading business continuity responses to operational disruptions.

Charles Mitchell attended St Austell Sixth Form College before proceeding to the University of Exeter, where they completed a BA Combined Hons in History and Politics. Additionally, they obtained a certification as a Chartered Public Finance Accountant from The Chartered Institute of Public Finance & Accountancy.
