Niranjan Venugopal's work experience includes roles at various institutions. Niranjan worked as a Medical Physicist at CancerCare Manitoba starting in November 2018. Niranjan also served as the Residency Program Director for Radiation Oncology Physics at the same company starting in April 2023.
In addition, they have held positions at the University of Manitoba since May 2020. Niranjan started as an Assistant Professor in the Department of Radiology and later became an Adjunct Professor in the Department of Physics and Astronomy in August 2021.
Prior to that, Niranjan worked at the University of Saskatchewan from September 2013 to November 2018. Niranjan held various roles, including Faculty Member, Adjunct Professor, and Clinical Assistant Professor in the biomedical engineering department.

Niranjan Venugopal holds a Ph.D. in Medical Physics from the University of Manitoba, as well as a Master of Science (M.Sc.) in Medical Physics from the same institution. Prior to that, they completed a Bachelor of Science (B.Sc.) Honours in Physics at the University of Regina.

CancerCare Manitoba
CancerCare Manitoba (CCMB) is the provincially mandated cancer authority responsible for setting strategic priorities and long-term planning for cancer and blood disorders. CCMB provides clinical services to both children and adults. The cancer services the organization provides to Manitobans include prevention, early detection, multidisciplinary cancer treatment, supportive and end-of-life care. CCMB is also responsible for radiation protection throughout the province. In addition, the Research Institute at CCMB investigates all aspects of cancer and blood disorders, including research to improve the patient’s experience while at CCMB.
