President And Chief Executive Officer at CancerCare Manitoba

Sri Navaratnam's work experience includes holding the position of Chair at the Canadian Association of Provincial Cancer Agencies (CAPCA) since 2022. Prior to this role, they served as the President and Chief Executive Officer at CancerCare Manitoba (CCMB) starting in 2014. CCMB is responsible for cancer and blood disorders treatment in the province, and Sri was involved in strategic planning and setting priorities. Additionally, Sri has been a Professor in the Department of Internal Medicine at the University of Manitoba since 2014, where they contribute to research and academic pursuits in collaboration with CCMB.

Sri Navaratnam completed a Medical Oncology Subspecialty Fellowship at the University of Manitoba from 1994 to 1998. Sri also pursued an Internal Medicine Residency Program at the University of Manitoba from 1990 to 1994. Prior to that, they obtained a PhD and Post-Doctoral Fellowship in Pharmacology and Therapeutics from the University of Manitoba from 1985 to 1989. Sri received an MBBS (Gold Medalist) from the University of Jaffna in 1985. In recent years, they participated in the Advanced Health Leadership Program at the University of Toronto - Rotman School of Management in 2017 and received training in Strategy for Health Care Delivery at Harvard University in 2016.
