Zaid Junaid began their work experience as a Process Engineering Intern at GLOBALFOUNDRIES in 2014. Zaid then moved on to Regeneron Pharmaceuticals, Inc. in 2015, where they held the role of Process Science Associate II, leading cross-functional teams and conducting experiments to support various processes. Subsequently, they joined Homology Medicines, Inc. in 2019, where they held multiple roles, including Senior Research Associate I and II, and later as a Process Development Scientist. Zaid then transitioned to Oxford Biomedica Solutions in 2022 as a Downstream Process Development Scientist, where they managed purification development projects and led a focus team to establish high-throughput resin screening operations. In 2023, Zaid became the Lead Senior Scientist for Downstream Process Development at Candel Therapeutics, where they oversaw purification process development and specifically focused on developing a purification platform for Herpes Simplex Virus (HSV).
Zaid Junaid obtained a Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute from 2012 to 2015.
