Gillian Seymour

Gillian is responsible for managing GIS databases, as well as using the latest geospatial technology to support project site selection and screening, and development engineering.

Gillian brings 8 years of GIS experience in utility-scale solar project siting, environmental consulting, and government. She was recently the senior GIS Analyst at Pine Gate Renewables where she worked under the Siting Department, using geospatial data to locate cost effective and environmentally beneficial lands to develop solar power projects. She also spearheaded an initiative to use python to automate complex geospatial workflows. Prior to that, she was a GIS Analyst with Hillsborough County where she oversaw the migration of geospatial data to the ESRI platform, including the creation of data collection apps, interactive spatial dashboards, and real-time, integrated data flows.

Gillian started her career as a GIS Analyst and Ecologist with a California-based environmental consultant, Vollmar Natural Lands Consulting, using geospatial analysis to locate rare and endangered plant and animal species. Gillian is pursuing a Masters of Science in Data Science and holds a Bachelors of Science in Molecular Environmental Biology from the University of California, Berkeley.
