Dr Leonid Shapiro

Dr. Leonid Shapiro is an accomplished professional with extensive experience in strategic consultancy and private equity. As Managing Partner at Candesic since March 2002, Dr. Shapiro leads projects focused on strategy for private and NHS organizations, as well as commercial due diligence for Private Equity transactions. In addition, since September 2017, Dr. Shapiro serves as a Partner at Brookstreet Equity Partners LLP, specializing in high growth SMEs. Dr. Shapiro's prior roles include Engagement Manager at McKinsey & Company, where the focus was on healthcare and commercial due diligence, and Chief Operating Officer at MathEngine Plc, a startup in the gaming industry. Dr. Shapiro's educational background includes an MD from Duke University, a DPhil from the University of Oxford, an MSc in Diagnostic Imaging also from the University of Oxford, and a BA in Physics from Cornell University.
