DEBT STRUCTURER (FUNDRAISING)
Job Summary: The company is looking to recruit an ambitious and energetic Debt Structurer who will help Candi to lead the revolution of Solar. The successful applicant will be working on fundraising and structuring our local debt in India. Given that Candi is taking Solar into a new realm with a new set of tools, the role will require creativity, innovation and a new way of thinking.
Specifically, the job involves taking a prominent role in the following, as part of a Capital Structuring team:
Assume full responsibility for all existing and future debt facilities, including overseeing lender relationships, preparing reports, and ensuring data management and compliance
Handle the preparation, review, negotiation, and execution of legal documentation with lenders
Manage transactions, stakeholders, processes and any aspect requiring attention in order to bring transactions to a successful close
Conduct financial, structural, and legal analyses on transactions to develop optimal debt solutions
Prepare and manage financial models required for transactions and reporting
Location: Gurgaon, Mumbai, Mohali, Bangalore or Pune (combined with working from home)
Hours: Full time.
Job Requirements:
3-6 years of experience in fundraising, financial structuring or M&A within a financial institution or corporate environment
Proven expertise in managing debt facilities, including full ownership of reporting and compliance requirements, as well as effective data management
Strong understanding of the local lender market, with in-depth knowledge of industry-standard lender terms
Assist with the negotiation of terms with lenders, the preparation and finalisation of term sheets and the negotiation and closing of finance documents
An affinity for numbers and quantitative analysis, with a high level of comfort in working with financial models
Experience in the renewable energy industry
Being good at juggling multiple transactions and projects at the same time
Being at ease with coordinating and interacting with various stakeholders (internal and external)
A track record of thriving in a fast-paced environment and an ability to work towards and hit KPIs
Being a self-starter with an entrepreneurial spirit
Being very comfortable working in the digital realm, using tools such as Microsoft Office / Google suite and other remote working tools
Excellent written and spoken English required, additional languages are a plus
A degree in finance, business, law or related qualifying experience
