C. Davis Parchment

Director of Partnerships at Candid

Davis has long worked to support a social sector driven by better data, research, and analysis. In her current role she is responsible for elevating and expanding the reach of Candid across the western region by building partnerships and strategies that strengthen the social sector through comprehensive data, training and insights on philanthropy.

In her previous role as Manager of Global Projects and Partnerships, she led and executed a wide range of projects that use data to drive decision-making and advance knowledge for the sector, including establishing the Get on the Map Campaign, a national philanthropy data improvement effort.

Prior to that, she was the Manager for Foundation Center’s Electronic Reporting Program, a role in which she oversaw outreach efforts aimed at motivating foundations, affinity groups, regional associations, and software partners to share more timely grants information.

Originally hired as part of the nonprofit services team, she was responsible for designing and delivering training programs in support of the capacity building needs of nonprofits in the San Francisco Bay Area.

Prior to joining the Center, she spent over eleven years in various nonprofit organizations working in fundraising, nonprofit management, education and international development.  Davis holds a bachelor’s degree in Economics and Philosophy from Mount Holyoke College and a Master’s degree in Education from Harvard University.
