Ann Shearer, MA, FACCE, NBC-HWC

Ann Shearer, MA, FACCE, NBC-HWC, has extensive experience in the health and wellness field. Ann has worked in various roles since 1984, beginning with a Research Psychologist position at the Uniformed Services University of the Health Sciences. In 1988, they became a Program Coordinator/Health Educator at Johns Hopkins School of Medicine, where they facilitated quit smoking groups and trained participants for a COPD clinical trial. In 2011, they were an Oncology Community Outreach Coordinator at St. Joseph Medical Center, Cancer Institute. From 2012 to 2015, Ann was a Health Educator at Lancaster General Health, where they managed the MyHealhtyLiving Employee Wellness Program. In 2009, they became a Well4Life Program Health Coach and Presenter at WellAdvantage. In 2008, Ann was a Lamaze Program Director and Trainer at Lamaze International. Ann has also been an Independent Health Educator/Wellness Professional and Owner of Yoga for Moms since 1993. Most recently, Ann has been a Programmatic Lead for Coaching and Content at Candlelit Therapy since 2021 and a Co-Owner at Able Health Coaching since 2021.

Ann Shearer, MA, FACCE, NBC-HWC earned their Master's degree in Health Promotion Counseling from Trinity Washington University between 1987 and 1989. Ann then obtained a Bachelor's degree in Psychology from McDaniel College. Shearer has also obtained several certifications, including National Board Certified Health and Wellness Coach (NBC-HWC) from the International Consortium for Health & Wellness Coaching in October 2017, Certified Quantum Coach from the Quantum Coaching Method in January 2016, Certified Wellness Coach from WellAdvantage in April 2011, Registered Prenatal Yoga Teacher from Yoga Alliance in January 2011, Experienced Registered Yoga Teacher from Yoga Alliance in April 2009, Fellow, American College of Childbirth Educators from Lamaze International in September 2008, Certified Whole Birth Yoga Teacher from Whole Birth Resources in October 2002, and Lamaze Certified Childbirth Educator from Lamaze International in October 1993.
