Davis McGowen

Davis McGowen has over 16 years of experience in forest management and fiber procurement, currently serving as the Area Fiber Procurement Manager for Canfor Southern Pine in Camden, Conway, and Darlington, SC since July 2007. Throughout this tenure, responsibilities have included managing log flow and residual sales for CSP sawmills, administering log supply to ensure appropriate volume and quality for the Conway sawmill, and overseeing procurement data analysis to support competitive log pricing strategies. Prior roles included Fiber Procurement Manager, Procurement Technical Manager, and Forester, where significant contributions involved timber cruising, log quality management, and security monitoring. Davis began professional experience as a Forestry Intern with the North Carolina Forest Service, engaging in various forestry activities, including controlled burns, timber marking, and GIS mapping. Davis holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Forest Management from North Carolina State University, completed in 2007.
