Marcia Dowds

Marcia Dowds has a strong background in nonprofit organizations, particularly in development, marketing, and regional services. Marcia began their most recent role as the National Director of Corporate and Foundation Relations at Canine Companions® in May 2021. Prior to that, Marcia spent five years as the Chief Development and Marketing Officer at Girl Scouts of Western Ohio from 2016 to 2021. Marcia also held various positions at the same organization from 2010 to 2016, including Director of Development and Marketing and Director of Regional Services.

Marcia Dowds earned a Bachelor's degree in Psychology and Communication from The Ohio State University. Marcia also completed a Certificate in Fundraising Management at the Indiana University Lilly Family School of Philanthropy in 2017-2018.
