Rylan Prafke

Rylan Prafke is a Staff Process Engineer at Cannon-Muskegon, specializing in Vacuum Induction Melting (VIM) of nickel superalloys and various metallurgical processes. Prior experience includes serving as a Process Engineer at Howmet Aerospace, where Rylan focused on chemical vapor deposition and vacuum heat treating, leading an engineering team in developing high-temperature coatings for single crystal nickel superalloy castings. Rylan's early career involved an undergraduate research assistantship at Hope College, winning the 2016 AIChE National Undergraduate Research Award, and internships with Lach Diamond Inc. and Tennant Company, supporting advancements in tooling and chemical-free cleaning technologies. Rylan holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Chemical Engineering from Hope College.
