Gastón Sobrevilla

Gastón Sobrevilla has a diverse work experience in software engineering and web development. Starting in 2014, they co-founded Vortex Software and served as a Co-Founder & Software Engineer, managing projects and developing web applications using Ruby on Rails, JavaScript, and JSON APIs. Gastón also gained experience in mobile development, specifically native iOS with Swift. In 2018, Gastón worked as a Senior iOS Software Engineer at SparkDigital, where they contributed to various mobile projects for News Corp. Gastón then rejoined Vortex Software in 2019 as Co-Founder & iOS Lead Engineer, managing projects and leading the iOS team. Currently, they work at Cannondale as a Senior iOS Software Engineer, starting in 2023. Additionally, Gastón has teaching experience in object-oriented programming at Universidad Tecnológica Nacional and has worked as a PHP Developer at CAPSOFT Diseño Web. Throughout their career, they have acquired skills in PHP, Laravel, CakePHP, Ruby on Rails, JavaScript, HTML, CSS, and various JavaScript frameworks such as Backbone.js and Marionette.js.

Gastón Sobrevilla started their education in 2003 and graduated in 2010 from Universidad Nacional de Tucumán with a Secondary Education Degree in Humanities, equivalent to a High School Diploma. In 2011, they enrolled at Universidad Tecnológica Nacional where they pursued a degree in Information Systems Engineering and completed it in 2018, which is approximately equivalent to a Bachelor's degree. In 2016, they obtained an Academic Exchange Scholarship (ARFITEC) to study Computer Science at UTBM for a brief period.

In addition to their formal education, Gastón Sobrevilla holds several certifications. In 2009, they obtained the FCE (First Certificate in English) from the University of Cambridge. In 2016, they completed the CCNA 1 & 2 Certificates of Completion from Cisco Networking Academy and obtained the DELF A2 (Diploma in French Language Studies) from the Ministère de l'Éducation nationale et de la Jeunesse.
