Ian Surra

Ian Surra has a diverse work experience in the field of industrial design. Ian most recently worked at Cannondale as the Global Director of Industrial Design, a position they have held since June 2023. Prior to that, they spent six years at Cycling Sports Group, starting as an Industrial Designer and later becoming the Industrial Design Manager in September 2020. In this role, they designed industry-leading bicycles, parts, and accessories for Cannondale and GT Bicycles, while also managing a global team of industrial designers.

Before their time at Cycling Sports Group, Ian worked as a Sustainability Advocate & Bike Mechanic at the University of Cincinnati Office of Sustainability from January 2012 to April 2014. Ian also gained valuable experience as an Industrial Design Co-op at Such + Such in 2013, Specialized Bicycle Components in 2013, Specialized Bicycle Components in 2012, and Jack Rouse Associates in 2011.
