Alan Castro has a diverse work experience in the field of architecture. Alan began their career as an Architectural Designer Intern at Marlon Blackwell Architects, where they gained valuable experience from May to August 2022. Alan continued working with the same company part-time as an Architectural Designer until June 2023.
In 2020, Alan took on a different role as a waiter at EL AGAVE MEXICAN RESTAURANT for a few months.
Furthermore, Alan has also explored freelance opportunities in architecture, serving as a Freelance Architectural Designer from October 2021 to July 2022, where they were hired by a homeowner to design an addition to their home in Bentonville. During this role, they worked on creating proposals, detailed plans, and renders to bring the homeowner's vision to life.
Alongside their professional experience, Alan has been actively involved at the University of Arkansas, where they pursued their degree in Architecture. Alan held various leadership positions within the National Organization of Minority Architecture Students (N.O.M.A.S.), serving as the Co-President from August 2019 to September 2022 and as the Treasurer from September 2022 to May 2023. Additionally, Alan served as a New Student Mentor from April 2019 to August 2019.
Alan's most recent work experience is as an Architectural Designer at CannonDesign starting in August 2023.
Alan Castro, Assoc AIA pursued their education at the University of Arkansas from 2018 to 2023. During this period, they successfully completed their Bachelor of Architecture (BArch) degree with a specialization in Architecture.
