Jeffrey Gates

Jeffrey Gates has a diverse work experience spanning multiple industries and roles. Jeffrey started their career at Wellbridge as a Regional Sales Administrator and Technical Trainer, where they improved software design and conducted training sessions. Jeffrey then became a National Sales Administrator, Business Analyst, and Technical Trainer, leading software training and implementing a new sales commission reporting system.

Afterwards, Jeffrey joined S&P Capital IQ as a Business Systems Analyst, where they played a multi-faceted role in designing and delivering software solutions for the Capital IQ financial data platform. Jeffrey also mentored business analyst hires and managed a team of business systems analysts. Later, they became the Manager of Business Systems Analysis, leading a team and driving software product management during a period of rapid growth.

Following their time at S&P Capital IQ, Jeffrey worked at Relationship Science as a Software Product Manager, overseeing the development and release of new features for the web platform. Jeffrey managed a team and played various roles, including project manager, business analyst, and user interface designer.

Most recently, Jeffrey worked at Blackstone as a Vice President and later as an Assistant Vice President of Software Product Management. In these roles, they managed product managers and prioritized initiatives to automate tasks and enhance the fund accounting system. Jeffrey delivered solutions that drove efficiency gains, such as a SaaS web app and an Excel add-in. Jeffrey worked with executives and stakeholders to define product backlogs and contributed to the management of $565 billion of assets under management (AUM) across 185 funds.

Currently, they hold the position of Senior Product Manager at Canoe, where they are responsible for product management.

Jeffrey Gates attended the University of Colorado Boulder from 1996 to 1999, where they studied Business Administration. Jeffrey then pursued a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration with a focus on Information Systems at the University of Colorado Denver from 1999 to 2001.
